Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how QuietNights ("the app", "we", "us") handles information. The short answer: we handle none. This policy exists to be transparent and to satisfy Apple's App Store requirement that all apps — particularly those in the Kids category — provide a publicly accessible privacy policy.
Information We Collect
None. The app does not collect any personal information, usage data, device identifiers, location data, camera or microphone input, contacts, or any other data whatsoever.
Data Sharing
No data is shared with third parties because no data is collected.
Analytics and Tracking
The app contains no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting services, no advertising frameworks, and no tracking pixels. It does not use Apple's own analytics framework. We have no visibility into how, when, or how often you use the app.
Children's Privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)
QuietNights is designed for use by young children (approximately ages 1.5–6) under the supervision of a parent or guardian. We take children's privacy very seriously.
- No personal information from children is collected, stored, or transmitted.
- There are no in-app purchases accessible from the child-facing screen.
- There is no advertising of any kind within the app.
- There are no external links accessible from the child-facing screen.
Parents may review and delete any app data at any time by uninstalling the app, which removes all locally stored settings from the device.
Data Storage
App settings — such as bedtime, wake-up time, and character selection — are stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device and is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app.
Local Notifications
The app may request permission to send local notifications (for example, a wake-up alarm or nap-end alert). These notifications are generated entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to any server, and no notification content is ever transmitted off your device.
Network Connectivity
QuietNights does not require or use a network connection. It makes no outbound network requests. The app works fully offline at all times.
Third-Party Services
None. The app uses only Apple's own iOS frameworks: SwiftUI, AVFoundation, and UserNotifications. No third-party SDKs, libraries, or services are included.
